Gemella

Two houses for one family around a shared pool

Concept renders

Shared pool · Kitchen garden

Render

Location: Kyiv region
Client: Confidential
Paving: Clay pavers, timber pool deck
Features: Shared pool, fire pit, raised kitchen garden, carport court

The constraint

Two houses for one family on a single plot, with a pool both households would use and a wish for vegetables close to the kitchen.

The decision

The pool sits in the middle as the shared room, with lawn on both sides so neither house owns it. Raised beds go along the sunny wall, a fire pit takes the far corner, and the arrival court is paved in clay to match the roofs.

The detail

Planting beds at each entrance are lit from below with globe lights, so the path home reads at night without a single post lamp.
