We join your project team for the grounds, the terrace or the roof: a coordinated landscape drawing set on your survey and datum, rendered with your building in it, and drawn in your design language rather than ours. Your client stays yours. The credit is given the way you prefer.

Most residential landscapes are added after the architecture, by a contractor working from a sketch. The building is drawn to the millimeter and the grounds are improvised. We close that gap with a set of documents your consultants would recognize.
You lead. We present through you or alongside you, whichever you choose, and never approach your client with anything you have not seen first. NDAs are signed as a matter of course.
We work on your survey, your datum and your grid. The landscape sheets are numbered to your standard, cross-referenced to your levels, doors and drainage, and issued in DWG and PDF on your schedule.
Your palette, geometry and detailing vocabulary extend into the garden: the same stone at the threshold and on the terrace, joints that align with the facade module, planting that frames the elevations you drew.
The full package is a numbered drawing set, the way you would issue one. Every sheet is described in detail on What you receive; the short version is below.
A drawing made for this page to show how a sheet reads. It is not from a client project.
Survey ties, levels, trees to keep, utilities, sun path and views, drawn on your datum.
The master plan set out with dimensions and coordinates, referenced to the building grid.
Spot levels, falls, subsurface drainage and outfalls, coordinated with your civil and waterproofing.
Material, format, joint and pattern; base build-ups, edges, thresholds and steps in section.
Every plant located, named by species and cultivar, sized at delivery and drawn at mature spread.
Fixtures, beam angles and circuits; zones, heads and controller schedule, coordinated with your electrical.
Walls, steps, planters, pergola footings, pool copings and terrace build-ups, dimensioned and specified.
Materials by supplier and format, schedules, and an itemized estimate every bidder prices the same way.
Your building modeled from your drawings, the grounds rendered in real light at 4K, and a walk-through for client sign-off.
The earlier we join, the more the grounds and the building agree with each other. But the set can also start from a finished CD set, and often does.
Site strategy, zoning of the grounds, arrival and levels resolved with the building massing. Two or three concept sheets and a first render.
Layout, materials and planting character fixed. Renders with your building for client approval. Budget range established.
The full L-series: layout, grading, paving, planting, lighting, irrigation, details, specifications and estimate, issued in DWG and PDF.
Contractor-neutral documents, so every bid prices the same garden. We answer bidder questions and review substitutions.
Shop drawing review, staged site visits and responses to RFIs. Visits outside the New York metro area are quoted with travel. Quoted separately, taken on when you want it.
Terms are kept simple, because a landscape consultant should make your project easier to run, not harder.
Send the survey and your current set. You get a fixed fee and a phase schedule, with no charge for the proposal.
We contract with the owner under your coordination, or with your practice under a single fee. Same drawings either way.
Named as landscape consultant, or unnamed. Nothing about the project is published without your written consent and your client's.
The design phase runs from your survey, drawings and a video walk-through, so coordination stays fast wherever the project is, in New York or anywhere in the US.
Every message answered within one business day by the person drawing your project.
Our team has worked directly with Zaha Hadid Architects, MVRDV and MASA · Hiroki Matsuura, and alongside architecture studios across Europe, before founding the atelier in New York. More than ten years of seeing our drawings built is why the details in our sets survive the site.
Loading, waterproofing, pedestal systems, wind-wise planting and approvals, coordinated with your structural engineer and the building's envelope.
Arrival, levels, terraces, pool and planting resolved with the architecture from the first massing study.
Small sites where every dimension matters, drawn to the same tolerance as the interiors they open onto.
Either. We contract directly with the owner under your coordination, or as a sub-consultant to your practice with a single fixed fee. Same drawings, same schedule, whichever keeps your paperwork simpler.
Yes. The house leads. We take your material palette, geometry and detailing vocabulary as the starting point and extend it into the grounds, so the site reads as one authorship. Credit is given the way you prefer, named or unnamed.
DWG on your survey and datum, PDF print sets at 24 by 36 inches, and 3D model exports on request. Renders are delivered at 4K with your building modeled from your drawings.
Send the survey and your current set and you will have a fixed fee and a phase schedule within two business days. There is no charge for the proposal.
Yes. We are based in New York and design across the United States. The design phase runs from your survey, your current set and a video walk-through, with reviews by video, so the practice and the project can be anywhere in the country.
Yes, if you want us there. Staged site visits, shop drawing review and responses to contractor questions are quoted as a separate construction-phase item. Within the New York metro area visits are part of that quote; elsewhere in the US they are quoted with travel, and between visits we support the contractor remotely from the drawings.
The design is the deliverable. Build it with any contractor you trust, or ask us to coordinate the build; it is quoted separately. We raise it only after the design is complete. The documents are contractor-neutral by design, so your client can bid the work to anyone.
A fixed fee and a phase schedule come back within two business days. Choose “Architect / designer collaboration” on the form, or write to hello@atelierverte.com.
