Landscape design in Westchester

Bedford, Chappaqua, Armonk, Scarsdale, Katonah, Rye, Pound Ridge: properties with real land, real trees and real seasons. Exactly the landscapes we design for.

The Westchester property, done properly

Westchester estates share a pattern: a beautiful house on generous land, and grounds assembled over the years by five different contractors, a patio here, a lawn there, a driveway that never quite matched. Our work begins by replacing that patchwork with one master plan: arrival, terraces, lawns, planting and light as a single composition.

The county's rocky grades, mature tree canopy and true freeze-thaw winters reward engineering-first design: honest bases under stone, drainage before beauty, plantings chosen for USDA zones 6b to 7b. Most of what fails here fails in the first winter after installation, and it fails underground. Wondering what a project should cost? See our 2026 guide to landscape design cost in New York.

What we do in Westchester

Have your own contractor?

Many Westchester owners have a builder they trust. Good. Our Full Design Package gives them construction documents, material specifications and an itemized budget to build from. The design is the deliverable. Build it with any contractor you trust, or ask us to coordinate the build; it is quoted separately.

Close to home, and further afield

Westchester is part of our home region around New York, and among the places we work most often. We also design for clients across the United States, with the same drawings and the same standard.
